donationsThis site was founded by Gary Lee Stamey and in his memory we carry ondonations

The new site design is finally live.  It works best at resolutions above 1024x768 in Microsoft Internet Explorer 7.0 or higher.  It does work in older versions of IE as well as other browsers but may not display some items properly.  We will no doubt have some glitches so please let me know if you find any problems.  It may take me a day or two or maybe a week or two to work out the wrinkles but rest assured... I'll get it done.

If you did not receive an email with instructions on how to login to the new site please This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .  If your name was on the old roster page you already have a login, your username is the same as your name on the roster using First and Last name.  I sent out a mass email with a basic explanation of how to login but it does not look like many of you received the email.  If you did not get the email and need to know your password for logging in just This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it  and I'll send you a temporary password.  I am going to leave the new site open for around 30 days with most areas accessible without needing to login.  You will need to login to view the member roster, submit article, stories and some other items.  This should give most of us time to login once and get a feel for things.  If you have any trouble logging please This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it  and I'll get back to you as quickly as possible with a solution.  If you have never been added to the roster you will need to complete the "Sign In" process or you will not be able to access most areas of the sight when public access is restricted.  There is no cost to register so please register.

If you are a visitor you may never have slept in your vehicle, tent, or whatever you could afford.
You may have never rented the cheapest motel room you could find (for a day or for months) then had to move 10 to 900 miles away to another town.
You may have never lived on cheap food, worked 70-80 hours a week for low wages.
You may have never had to live in a community with townsfolk who either loved the bucks you spent or hated you, and still........
You felt like you had the best job in the world!

Then please attempt to see what we did, who we were, and who we continue to be.
If you have "been there and done that" you'll already know.

USA Doodlebuggers would like to invite you to join our little community.
Once you have completed the "Sign In" process you will be registered.
After your account is activated you will have full access to all of the site pages and options.

The site is Totally Free for all of the sometimes misunderstood, and usually unappreciated men and women who worked, and are still working in the Seismograph industry. There are some costs involved in keeping the site running and certainly a lot of time and maintenance to keep it up to date and running smoothly. So, if you feel like contributing to the site through a donation via paypal or check please visit the "Donations" page. There you will find a list of all of our contributors and decide if you would like to be on the list.

Most people of the world have no idea of the fact that every drop of oil and gas starts with a pencil line on a map and a crew of Doodlebuggers.

If you have ever flown a helicopter, drilled holes, stomped geophones, met mean dogs in a landowner's yard, driven a vibe, jug truck, swamp buggy.....the list is long, please "Sign In"and make this site a regular place to call home.

You are understood and appreciated here!

Post your photos, write messages in the forum, make connections and send private messages, post ads to buy and sell, find a job, etc. and enjoy the camaraderie of the many folks that share the proud distinction of being called Doodlebuggers, Seismographers, Seismic Trash, Transients and all sorts of other things that are unique to North American oil & gas exploration.

I hope you enjoy the new site and features. Please feel free to make suggestions to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it . Join us now by registering on the "Sign In" section.
