News And Messages Below

There was a submission for the In Honor page that was really a request for information.  I couldn't decide where the best location to post it was so I decided to just add it here.  Maybe it will be seen my more people on the main page.  The posting listed below;

CHRISTIE L HAYSLETTE
HAYSLETTE71@AOL.COM

Name_of_Deceased:     MICHAEL GENE HAYSLETTE
Companies_Worked_For: PETTY-RAY GEOPHYSICAL

Date_of_Death:        MAY 27, 1975

LOOKING FOR ANYONE WHO KNEW OR WORKED WITH MICHAEL, HE WAS MY DAD AND I DON'T KNOW AS MUCH ABOUT HIM AS I WOULD LIKE AS HE DIED WHEN I WAS FOUR. I KNOW HE DROWNED OFF THE GULF COAST OF NEW IBERIA LA IN 1975. PLEASE CONTACT ME IF YOU HAVE ANY INFORMATION REGARDING MICHAEL GENE HAYSLETTE.

HOPE I HAVEN'T OFFENDED ANYONE BY POSTING HERE.

THANK YOU

This is where you can look at Doodlebugger photos, contact lost friends, and much more!

The site is Totally Free for all of the sometimes misunderstood, and usually unappreciated men and women who worked, and are still working in the Seismograph industry.

Most people of the world have no idea of the fact that every drop of oil and gas starts with a pencil line on a map and a crew of Doodlebuggers.

If you have ever flown a helicopter, drilled holes, stomped geophones, met mean dogs in a landowner's yard, driven a vibe, jug truck, swamp buggy.....the list is long, please sign in and make this site a regular place to call home.

You are understood and appreciated here!

Post your photos, write messages, and enjoy the camaraderie of the many folks that share the proud distinction of being called Doodlebuggers, Seismographers, Seismic Trash, Transients and all sorts of other things that are unique to North American oil & gas exploration.

(With  respect, I must say that Ray Derrick has a similar website that supports the International Doodlebugger Community.) Ray's site is : www.doodlebuggersreunited.com

Between our two websites we support the planet's Doodlebuggers wherever they may be.

This site is updated as new information and members become available.

Please feel free to contribute photos, logos, patches, ideas, and information at any time.

What The Hell Is A Doodlebugger?

If you are a visitor you may never have slept in your vehicle, tent, or whatever you could afford, rented the cheapest motel room you could find (for a day or for months) then had to move 10 to 900 miles away to another town. You may have never lived on cheap food, worked 70-80 hours a week for low wages, had to live with community/ townsfolk who either loved the bucks you spent or hated you........

And felt that you had the best job in the world!

Then please attempt to see what we did, who we were, and who we continue to be.

If you have "been there and done that" you'll already know.
